Another excellent book!

I love how Ted Dekker spins his stories and connects them to others of his books. In this one, there is a subtle nod towards the circle series. If you haven't read the circle series, do so! You'll understand!

Just didn’t make sense

I love the writer, but not this one. Kinda boring and just couldn’t connect to the story line. At first sounded good, but didn’t finish well.

Twisted

I started with the circle series and the lost books. Made me a huge fan. But this and the last book I listened to fromTed Dekker were twisted and unnecessarily violent. If they were movies, they wouldn’t be ones I would watch. I listened on so I wouldn’t completely waste my money for the audible books, but this and the last one are getting removed from my library. Too much gore.

Ummmm...

It's a decent book with a good parable, and there's a great moral to the story, but I struggled through it because, unlike the Circle series, it appears to be written for teenagers. That made it hard to stick with, but I completed it.
