The international best-selling novel Skyfall is the story of a complex airline hijacking gone bad. Hidden aboard Flight 42 are terrorists who will force the aircraft to land in Communist China where a top-secret computer program will fall into Chinese hands. But the hijacking attempt is bungled and, with scores of passengers dead or wounded, the airliner's survivors desperately attempt to keep the airliner aloft. Meanwhile, a macabre deal is struck between the Chinese Ambassador and the US State Department to cover up all the mutually damaging evidence.

Very exciting book. Narration was perfect for the story. Enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend it.

Another great book by Thomas block

This riveting story keeps your interest at a high level wanting to see how the direction of the situation will change as time passes. A unique cast of characters, with some uncanny timing of events, dove together to make this International commercial flight a day classic.

Compelling International Flight!

There are numerous points in the story when I couldn't see what could possibly keep the story going. Yet Mr. Block was able to come up with a plausible solution each time. An I ncredible story that I didn't want to put down!

Plot twists and turns!

The book was ok, but I bet even the author had trouble keeping his interest with so much happening in the same location.

Since I do not fly any more, I was looking forward to the book. I didn't quit flying because I am afraid of flying; I am afraid of crashing.

Even if I did fly, I would never go to an airport and take off my shoes for anyone government leach for any reason. If everyone stopped flying for one week, that policy would be thrown out the door.

Spoiler Alert (don't read this if you plan on listening to the book):

The end where the widow of the deceased person and his mistress being friends is hard enough to believe; them becoming business partners makes the rest of the book lose creditability to me.

Only so much that can happen in one setting

Very few authors can do justice with narrating their own books, and this one is an example. The story line sounds great but I just couldn't get past the poor narration. Bummer.

Really wanted to listen, but ...
