Excellent story and terrific narration!

This book is a compelling story. The narrator is a pleasure to listen to, which is not always the case. Highly recommended.

I'm Hooked on Nick Ryan

From the prologue on I was hooked. Great story from beginning to end. Deep, twisting, suspenseful. Just wonderful. Can't wait for the sequel!

Metals for the dead.

But as for heroes? It is said we are all heroes of our own story. I don’t know if that’s true, but to me heroes are all around us. They save lives while risking their own. They make sacrifices so the coming generations can have something better. They never ask for praise or rewards, they just work hard, love hard, and keep believing.

Nick Ryan is no different. His situations and choices are his own unique story. I don’t think we need to decipher his hero status, a question posed by the author in the end notes. I really enjoyed the story. The complexity of choices and how we make them, the moral codes we use, and the raw humanity behind all of this messy life. Enjoy! 😊

So far I’m impressed with Nick Ryan’s character
I am impressed for the most part. I will say there is a lot of race blaming. Not sure if that bothers me

Great start to a series- great narration

A character driven novel. Great story. Good character development. Perfect narration. Looking forward to more in this series.
