Hard truth, beautifully told

Anna knows better, and we're rooting for her as she struggles to free herself from a manipulative relationship. This compelling story, rich with detail and gorgeous characterization, avoids easy answers or glib conclusions. It's a lovely tale of a woman coming into her own.

Teen moves on from sleeping with boss

Narrator sounds like she’s 13, which makes the short story icky, especially as we hear how older, married store boss gives her the “look that made her do the jelly donut.”
