Don served with his wife, Kathy, for twenty-two years as missionaries in South Africa. He pastored two churches in Minnesota.

Don currently serves in member care through the Baptist Bible Fellowship for missionaries around the world. He holds an MDiv and DMin from Luther Rice University, a PhD in Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University, and is a trained life coach; additionally, he has several certifications in Fire/EMS/Police Chaplaincy, Critical Incident Stress Management, Depression Recovery, and Line of Duty Death.
