Brandon Andrew Morgan wants and lives a normal life. Well, mostly, anyway. Between his crazy roommates, slacker brother, and the intolerable customers that plague his job, Brandon certainly attempts to make the most of things. But Brandon's world is about to be turned upside down when mankind decides to face a possible doomsday event by doing what they do best: making it worse. Much worse, in fact. Implementing the new Omega Vaccine as a preventative, let's just say the world is not prepared for the side effects that weren't posted on the label.

Soon, Brandon and his friends find themselves trying to survive as society goes to hell in a haughty handbasket. Vengeful zombies want his brains. A selfish vampire wants his blood. And somewhere in the mix, Jesus has returned for a most awkward second coming. Things only get worse as Brandon and a lovable band of custodians try to be the heroes the world didn't know it needed.

But can an endearing goober with a blood phobia and a group of janitors turned monster slayers save the day? And if so, what the hell awaits them on the outside if they can even survive the mall?

Buckle your seatbelt for the answer, 'cause it only gets weirder from here.

Meh, at best.

I struggled to get through this. This is the first book I had to stop listening to for a while because it was just so dreadfully meh.

The story itself was okay. It seemed kike the writer had seen a Kevin Smith movie and thought 'I can do that' but just didn't quite hit the mark. There were a few funny moments, but they were few and far between. Most of the time I just wanted it to hurry up and get on with it. The Jesus portion of the story was good, but seemed to just fizzle out after some time.

The performance was not my favorite. The inflection used by the narator grated on my nerves, and there seemed to be a disconnect with what was going on in the story, and how it was delivered. There were a bunch of hard "P"s that should have been fixed in editing. Some of the lines seemed as though they were rerecorded and just pasted in as they didn't have the same cadence as the line before.

Overall, it was an okay book. Some interesting concepts, but just missed the mark in the level of humor, story telling and performance. Very meh.

Great Book

I was not sure what to expect when I started this book. it surpassed everything I could think of. it literally has it all, Vampires, check, aliens, check, zombies, check, the second coming with a brawl in a mega curch between Jesus and the Pastor, check and check!

Little too much

The characters are crass but that isn’t the problem. It’s trying to be a fun read but it fails. Too much inane dialog. There is no one character you like enough to care about as they all seem a bit ridiculous.

Best apocalypse ever.

The story makes you laugh in all the right places while giving you thrills along the way.
