The lead character in Song of Empire, Book 1, is Siian, a seventeen year old youth who, unbeknown to himself, is a genetic cross. His mother, Melissa, is herself the daughter of a relationship between a human and a Guardian. The latter are a purpose engineered variant of humans, designed to be perfect administrators and witnesses, observing and reporting on the governments of Earth’s many colonies across the galaxies. The ruling Council of Members on Earth is concerned to prevent human/Guardian cross breeding, to prevent contamination of the human gene pool. When the novel begins, Siian has been hidden successfully on a remote forest station on the planet Tranor since he was an infant. The Federation, the space and military enforcement arm of the Council arrives at the forest station and takes Siian into custody. He is rescued by a strange trio, consisting of Y’leta, Seth and Fodar, who spirit him away, out the clutches of the Federation on the merchanteer vessel Merryweather. He is taken to the remote, failed colony of Leiandor on the planet Xenon, and is told he is a key element of the fight back against the Federation… Genetic Engineering Science Fiction Space Opera Solar System
