In this haunting psychological drama, Samantha finds herself trapped in a labyrinth of dreams where the boundary between sleep and wakefulness blurs beyond recognition. In the wake of her beloved Aunt Flo's death, she descends through layers of consciousness, encountering a mysterious Dream Interpreter, her concerned husband Malcolm, and ancestral figures who hold the keys to family secrets long buried. As Samantha navigates these dreamscapes, she confronts her deepest fears about motherhood, identity, and the inherited trauma that flows through generations of women in her family. Nathan Alan Davis weaves a mesmerizing tale, directed by Logan Vaughn, that explores the power of familial bonds, the weight of decisions unmade, and the courage required to face one's true nature.

This book was amazing, intriguing and very funny. Still trying to figure out the significance of the frogs but I understood why she was driven insane by them.

Loved It

The story is very captivating. The way its written, it would make a good play. There's humor and darkness. But not in a evil way, in a heavy way. Definitely a good listen even though its short.

Wish I could see this as a play

What is their significance in the story? That was the part that got me confused.

Who are the frogs?

This may be the strangest thing I've ever listened to, but I already want to listen to it again. We dive straight into the confusion and chaos, simultaneous with the protagonist, and it's extremely disconcerting.

While short, Soothsayers is quite dense, and layered with so much symbolism that it warrants multiple listens, or discussion with others with differing perspectives. This one will stay with you long after you're done listening.

Eerie and Evocative
