Your soul is an inner universe: vast, mysterious, powerful. Yet no aspect of the psyche is more neglected than the soul. Distinguished scholar, teacher, and theologian Thomas Moore leads us to the furthest reaches of this complex realm in Soul Life. From the ashes of the Renaissance, Moore has revived the concept of the soul and studied its intricacies. Now he shares with us a series of ideas that can deepen our everyday experience - even life's most routine tasks - with the exquisite sacredness that is the soul's special gift.

Thomas Moore describes this work as a "retreat" in the tradition of monastic learning. Six contemplative sessions help us focus on the defining areas of our lives: work, family, art and creativity, spirituality, and more. Soul Life is for all listeners who seek to know the soul and its mysteries while reaping the blessings of a deeper, more spiritual life.

Thomas Moore’s book is so very rich. I loved his voice it was conducive to a retreat. I could listen to excerpts daily and still gain new insights. I listened to this book in my 30s when raising young children and now in my mid 60s. It fed my soul then and now. So worthwhile. Loved it so much.
