First of all, you don't remember your identity. Second, the "sandbox" of this inter-civilization game, Universe ICS, is a dangerous place for beginners. Finally, character restoration is finite. Death in ICS may be irreversible.

Really Good Book

Few things i could nitpick but overall this was a very compelling book. What is it about Russian writers? Is it a guy thing? I do like old school.

Really good start for a litrpg series..

This was a great starting litrpg book even though it had been translated from Russian. This is a must have for any fan of fiction. Great story development and mc interaction. I can't wait for the next book.

Neat book

A great litRPG i definitely recommend it fans of the genre. The story was a fun listen with plenty of action.

inconsistently inconvenient

I struggled to finish this one. The combat seems boring, it kept putting me to sleep. Most of the skills and rules are vague and inconsistent. The MC falls flat, as does most of the dialog. It's very Russian, in the way it makes the MC suffer for little to no gain (sucking at life does not make your character interesting). The pets seem more likable and interesting than any of the other characters. The number of stupid reveals would put a heist movie to shame.

Too much swearing

The story line was intriguing. However, the blurring of right and wrong simply because you are in a game was terrible. Murder is okay because I got an assasins quest. Yuck! Plus way too many f-bombs.
