The Sound Investigations series continues with Hank Castor and Eldon Quist once again in the midst of a difficult investigation. The Atlee Vision Institute in Seattle is working hard to create a drug that will solve the vision crisis currently rampant in the Middle East. Their new medication will bring relief to millions of people suffering from vision loss. What none of the principals in Atlee's company are aware of is a secretly placed scientist who has a different mission - that of contaminating the drug prior to its release with the plan being to deliver not a curative product, but one that will increase the problem of vision loss with the hope being to undermine the American company and drive new recruits to a terrorist organization.
