Discover Space Force, the number one Audible best-selling novel by New York Times best seller Jeremy Robinson, and ask yourself, "Who thought this was a good idea?"

Five years ago, the US Space Force became a reality. And while those writing the checks took things very seriously, the other military branches did not. As a result, Space Force was populated by undesirables: men and women who made too many mistakes, didn't follow the rules, or...slept with the wrong general's daughter. Three times. On camera. It was a mistake, okay?

My name is Captain Ethan Stone, a decorated member of SEAL Team Six turned Space Force "recruit". While the powers-that-be attempted to make Space Force an embarrassment, they also sent some of the very best minds, fighters, and pilots to the program, because sometimes the best of us decide to take a stand against those same powers. Yeah, yeah. Not me. Though I seem to recall I was standing when...sorry. It's a distracting memory.

Flash forward five years and between tenses. President West is in office. Power has shifted. And Space Force is defunded. With just a handful of us still living on base, we find ourselves being evicted. But before all of us can leave, aliens invade. Really ugly ones, too. Super nasty. I don't think I could describe them here without getting the audiobook banned.

Anywho, using their advanced technology, they seal off Space Force Command behind a shrinking force field and kick off a battle royale to the death. Human vs. alien. To the victors goes the Earth. While my boy Frank Taylor and I throw down inside the force field, my main squeeze, First Lieutenant Jennifer Hale, leads an international strike team into freakin' space. It's nuts. Crazy action. Super funny, too, in like a Deadpool way, if that's your thing.

The only way to really know what went down is to snag a copy of this audiobook and listen to it for yourself...before it's too late. Or wait for the movie. There is going to be a movie, right?

Space Force is the story about Americas newest fighting division. Everything they know, all their training is meaninglessness when aliens show up.

It is probably one of the oddest written story's I've read/listened to. It is very meta, and self aware. The main characters, and even secondary characters talk about the writing style and events as they relate to the plot.

It is sarcastic comedy, light on sci-fi and light on action. Most of the story resolves around relationships and personal interactions, with only an occasional action sequence.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book, even though it is very oddly written. The voice acting was well done and the voices fit the characters.

I recommend this book if you like humorous sci-fi, but stay away if you're looking for serious action or hard core sci-fi.

I'm not entirely sure what I just listened to...

This story is all about laughs, action, irony, and more laughs! Imagine the world is being attacked by gamers from another planet, who look like male genitalia, and behave like Minions. There is no way that won’t be funny to anyone who maintains a shred of youth. However, if you somehow lost touch with your teen self, have a stick unfortunately implanted, or were born without a funny bone, stick to listening to James Joyce or the Bronte sisters.

Jeffrey Kafer delivers another solid performance, as we have come to expect. The real news is the performance of Emily Woo Zeller! She did an outstanding job, and really stole the show with her character voices and humorous delivery. The surprise appearance of Jeremy Robinson was a great touch too.

Ridiculously Funny!

From the opening dialogue, which made me spit out my drink laughing, I was hooked. Captain Ethan Stone is hilarious. He is like Deadpool, Captain Kirk, and Leroy Jenkins rolled into one. And Ivan, the Russian Spetsnaz, story of how his parents died made laugh uncontrollably. There is so much humor and inside jokes packed into this book. The story is awesome. It is about the Space Force, yes that one. It is the laughing stock of the world. It may be pointless, best of the worst, and completely failing at everything but Space Force is the only thing (not by choice) that is going to save us from aliens. The Aliens, named the Chote (Google it), have invaded Earth and have been influenced by the way they see us battle (online). FPS Battle royal is game and Space Force is chosen to play. This book ranks in the top of audio books I have listened to in the last year. It is Awesome.

It's Like The Army or Navy But For Space

Funniest book I’ve read/listened to EVER. Of course, I’m a Vet and have a messed up sense of humor and pop culture, very similar to a certain main character in fact.. Wait, hey, @JeremyRobinson, could I be in the sequel? I mean, I have awesome witty internal dialogue, I’m fond of breaking the 4th Wall and I love using firepower to mangle alien phallaces....

This is really the first book that I've listened to that i would classify as a comedy and i found it very entertaining. I'm not going to summarize the book, but i found the story original, funny and clever. Some of humor not be for everyone but if you like some crassness, locker room humor, and some funny pop culture references i think you will enjoy it. I liked all the narrators as well but thought that Jeffery kafer did a very good job and would be happy to listen to another one of his books. Voices and accents done well and the female voices not annoyingly over done like some can be. I'm sure i will listen to it again and probably share it with my son when he's a bit older, especially because it does contain some "gaming" situations and references.
I didn't pay for this book but felt like it was worth a credit and would not be disappointed if i had
