"I leaned back in my seat, and the safety harnesses entangled me. A connector emerged from the neck section of the commander's chair and sucked on my universal neural connector. I began to sink into my first fusion with this ship. It was fantastic. Only now was I beginning to realize all of its capabilities. It was beautiful. Up until that point, I hadn't been aware of a tenth of its true capabilities, and it was constantly changing. It had got an amazing artin. The more he learned and evolved, the more effective his transformations were.

I began to feel as though I were this beautiful monster, a leviathan of space, and I had some mutts in my way. However, it was not worth revealing all the cards now. I, though elated, had not lost my sense of reality. First I needed to take out the smallest target, it seemed to me the strangest in this squad. Two large ships of Agraf construction and this little thing, so it might be needed for something. The ship under my control made an evasive maneuver and simultaneously fired a salvo of two photon guns at the destroyer, in order to sell its shield at the first time, as the analysis system told me, and I launched one torpedo after it."

"Space opera. The Wild Ensign 2: Arai’s Guardian" – the second book in the first cycle of a grand space opera, blending explosive military sci-fi with psionic powers, where heroes face impossible choices between duty, loyalty, and their own ambitions. Every move could be their last, and the truth lies hidden among the cold, uncaring stars.

This is the gripping story of Bor Wind, a former soldier who vanished without a trace at the end of the first book. After their comrade’s mysterious teleportation, the crew of the Golden Eagle searches for him across an endless graveyard of derelict ships.

But the Earthling finds them first. Bor, now wielding devastating psionic abilities—honed to perfection on a deadly training planet—is rewarded with the Ares, a warship armed with lost ancient tech and piloted by an almost alive AI named Dan.

With his crew—battle-hardened veteran Dag, nobleman Migo, and the aristocratic Agraf Baroness Agatha —Bor embarks on a journey of war, betrayal, and cosmic revelations. They’ll uncover the secrets of fallen civilizations, navigate political treachery, and fight for a way back to Earth—only to discover it’s locked behind anomalies, controlled by forces beyond comprehension.

What happens when Bor crosses paths with a princess of a star empire? Will he resist temptation, or will power corrupt him? You’ll face a terrifying truth about Earth’s real rulers—and their horrifying purpose for it. Every conspiracy theory you’ve ever doubted? It’s real. And it’s worse than you imagined.

"The Wild Ensign" is the first part of a sprawling space saga, where diverse heroes clash against the darkness of the cosmos. Each fights their own battles, but one thing unites them: the unbreakable spirit of Earth. They charge into battle even when death seems certain—and they win.
