Extremely Helpful Resource

As a parent of a child with speech sound delay, I found the audiobook "Speech Therapy for Kids" by Yasmin Akhtar to be incredibly informative and helpful. I listened to this audio because work with children and have found it to be a very useful and informative handbook.

The author explains clearly how to identify speech and language problems and delays from an early age, how to use Makaton and how to implement therapies to support and develop language.

Valuable Resource!

A friend of mine had a child, at the same time that I did, and our kid was speaking in full sentences before there’s could even say their first word. After reading this book, it helps me understand the delay in speaking that some children go through. I thought the author does a fantastic job at providing helpful tips and strategies to be able to help your children if they are delayed in speaking. There are so many ways that as a parent, you can help your child be able to learn to speak just by doing simple things at home that can be found in this book. Phenomenal resource.

I really appreciated that the context of this book painted how social growth of kids is impacted by the pandemic. I was not expecting that coverage but it was absolutely helpful! The age markers and behaviors to see how your child is doing was also incredibly helpful in helping my mindset and understanding.

Fabulous audio. Great information and well produced. So many kids struggle with speech, and this audio is a great resource for all parents and children. My favorite part was the explanation behind lego therapy. It is packed with so much information; I will be listening to it another time.
