Sophie Ellis-Bextor's kitchen discos became a source of much-needed escapism, catharsis and sequined joy for a swathe of the population during lockdown. Sophie is exceptional!

I hadn't realized I had discovered Sophie's music shortly after she began as a single artist. Being American it hasn't been easy to get her music until the digital world caught up, until then I relied on my British aunt to get it f for me. Now, not only is (for 20 years) my favorite artist, this book has made her one of my favorite human beings.

Relatable, funny, real, positive and hopeful

Relatable in so many ways (as a 36yo woman who started partying at 14). The story inspired me in a positive way and it full of fun moments and realness. A star but a human and a very strong human at that
