Spirit of Christmas

A king wants his son to understand the true meaning of Christmas, so he sends the prince on a quest. The prince is to find an old sage who will tell him the meaning of Christmas. The king gives his son three gifts that he is supposed to give to the sage for telling him the meaning of Christmas.

On the way, the prince encounters several people that he is able to help, but in order to do so, he gives away the gifts he was supposed to give to the old sage. The prince returns home and has to tell his father he failed because he gave away the gifts. His father is elated because his son understood the meaning of Christmas.

Dramatization: Spirit of Christmas

I first heard this dramatized audio story on cassette tape decades ago when I was a kid. As an adult, I still treasure it in my memory. I don't have the tape version anymore, so finding this production on Audible in digital form is meaningful for me. Discovering it here and hearing the story again enabled me to experience some of the excitement children have on Christmas morning!

The acting, music, sound effects and story are all fantastic. Although I will not reveal too much of the story's plot, keep the Golden Rule in mind while listening.,
