Spring has finally come to the cold north of Alaska. As the snow thaws can minds be changed and hearts be healed? Ruben Soto-Rivera thinks the shifter community is threatened by its growing numbers and he has a plan to travel to Alaska and get the shifter community to see his side of things. On his way with the caribou herd, his whole world is shaken by the energy of a female shifter. Larisa Pine had chosen to live a solitary life in the woods, away from most other people. She does have contact with other shifters on occasion to help them with healing and coping with their abilities. As the shamen for the community, she is familiar with all of the local shifters. Larisa recognizes that Ruben is not a local. His power makes her heart race and leaves her feeling faint. These are sensations she isn’t used to. She’s used to being the powerful one. Can an outsider looking for a shifter amulet bring them together or will the quest end them for good?
