Lady Hyacinth believes she’s destined to be a princess. The prince of a small country visits London and she declares she’ll make him fall in love with her in less than a sennight. After all, she is the most eligible lady in all of England...

Rhys Rossington, the Earl of Carrick works for the home office and he’s assigned to the prince while he’s visiting. Some believe he is visiting for nefarious reasons and expect Rhys to uncover if the royal visit is something evil in disguise.

Rhys and Hyacinth each have their own reasons for attaching themselves to the prince, but neither one of them expect where it will lead them. They have always hated each other. Whatever differences they had are nothing in the face of danger.

As each moment passes both Rhys and Hyacinth begin to understand the meaning of the saying: There’s a fine line between love and hate. If the survive they will have to decide which side their feelings actually fall on...

Very enjoyable listen. I wasn’t sure I could warm up to Hyacinth but she won me over. Rys knows Hyacinth should be his but he believes she deserves better. After warning her the Prince is up to no good she doesn’t listen so it’s up to him to save her.

I'm glad Hyacinth came to her senses (rather forcefully and rudely) before she was ruined. She was too headstrong for her own good. Thankfully a wise man saved her from her foolish self.. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.
