I have never written a review on a book. All I can say is wow! I couldn't shut if off I was so engaged. When the book ended and he reviewed the chapter on the next book, I immediately bought it. Great job Lewis!! As a Florida native and frequently in the Keys, I would love to buy you a beverage of choice if we ever meet.

Wow!

So how many John D. MacDonald wannabees does the world need? Since pretty much everybody loves Travis McGee yarns why not keep re-creating new "Travis's". Tweak the lovable rogue / former SEAL / SpecOps / Detective and, in this case, put him in "the Keys" and bring on the bad guys and honeys galore.

I count at least 3-4 authors making various levels of "a living" turning out these modern day dime novels. And I keep reading them.

This one has, IMO, an annoying narrator but I plodded past him. Not my favorite faux-Travis but passable.

Another "John D. MacD" wannabee

The story was fun and somewhat amusing. The narrator ruined the experience. I kept thinking he would be better suited for soothing self help books and low behold that's what his previous works included. Not going to continue the series because of this.

medium story monotonous narrator
