Squirm's Big Day

I’ve always lost myself in the creative arts when faced with challenges in life — whether it was diving into theatre as a young boy or finding a home in the voice over world because casting director didn’t know what to do with my “look”…the arts have been there to give me a space to tinker. When Squirm packed his bags for the Rainbow Bridge, that loss was certainly a challenge with a capital “C”. And unfortunately, any of us that have pets will face that music at one point or another. Well, how do you process that hit to the heart? How about a children’s book where Squirm is the star?

This is my first attempt at diving into the children’s book realm…I’ve narrated them, but never helmed one from concept to creation. Armed with so many warm memories of Squirm, and Mrs. H to give her nod of approval that I’d done Squirm justice…I’d like to present, Squirm’s Big Day. A tribute to one of the best boys to ever walk through our (doggie) door.
