There are lot many books on Lalitā Sahasranāma in English. This is not just one more. The best feature of this book is that every name is compared with the corresponding meanings/ analogies in 20+ Upanishads, various mantras, Brahma Sūtram, Devee Bhāgavatam, Mahā Shoḍanyāsam, Nitya Shoḍashikārnavam, different Sūtras, Shiva and other Purānas, Soundaryalaharee, Sree Lalitā Trisatee, Sree Lalitopākyānam, Sree Varivasyā Rahasyam, Sreemad Bhagavad Geeta, Sree Vidyasaparyapaddhati, Sruti, Smrutis, Vishnu Sahasranāma and what not? For instance 712th name Ë has explanations/ references running for 5 pages and the irony is that the smallest name and has got the longest explanation. The forty verses called Paribhāsha stotras is a self-contained research paper on Lalitā Sahasranāma. It is perfect allegory. At the outset the surface meaning of these verses is as praising and bowing Sree Devee. But the deep inner meaning is that, it explains the structure of all the thousand names – the starting letter of every name, etc. It is a delight to read these verses. This book does not intend scholarly readers, but expects a very common audience. Hence while transliterating the Samskrit words in English, the international convention of diacritical markings have not been followed in its entirety, but still followed in an easy way of reading.
