Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord's daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father's wishes and society's expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle's laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

The story's shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this #1 New York Times bestselling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget.

Praise for Stalking Jack the Ripper:
A #1 New York Times Bestseller from its first week!
"An entertaining debut full of twists and turns, perfect for fans of historical fiction and mystery."—School Library Journal
"Maniscalco has created a serious, sharp-minded, and forward-thinking protagonist in Audrey Rose, whose fearlessness will endear her to readers looking for an engaging historical thriller. [A] gruesome but engrossing story."—Publisher's Weekly
"Audrey Rose Wadsworth prefers breeches to ball gowns, autopsies to afternoon tea, and scalpels to knitting needles. Though her father, Lord Edmund, has forbidden it, Audrey covertly studies forensic medicine...while "the Ripper" remains two steps ahead, lurking where Audrey least expects....Maniscalco's portrayal of scientific invention in a newly industrial era will serve as a fine first foray into Victorian classics."—Booklist
"*A marvelous yet somewhat gruesome mystery...The Ripper scenes are visceral, and the plot dovetails with history perfectly. An unexpected twist makes the ending worth the wait. A must-have."—School Library Journal, starred review
"Audrey is a young woman eager to use her brains and willing to flaunt society's rules....This mystery pays homage to classics like Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein [and] will satisfy those readers looking for historical mystery, a witty heroine, and a little romance."—School Library Connection
"This is a book that will keep you up at night and haunt you during the day."—Beth Revis, author of the New York Times bestselling series Across the Universe
"With ample knowledge of Ripper lore, Maniscalco creates a steadfast and headstrong heroine who is as comfortable in gloves of blood as she is in watered silk. Filled with plenty of gory details, and no shortage of possible suspects, Stalking Jack the Ripper conveys the panic, paranoia, and fascination of 1880s London with a madman on the loose."—Kendare Blake, author of Anna Dressed in Blood and Three Dark Crowns
"Kerri Maniscalco paints a picture of nineteenth-century London that lives and breathes in wonderfully sinister fashion. You won't want to put this book down."—Renee Ahdieh, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Wrath and the Dawn

I absolutely loved this novel! It was filled with twists and turns, and a phenomenally female protagonist. The ending plot twists was nothing I expected. As a reader of novels similar to this I have to say this one might be the best. With the added romance and banter of Audrey Rose and Thomas this story really came to life and was absolutely astonishing to visualize in my mind. The romance was like non other I have read in novels similar to this. It was added with great calculations and perfectly timed and execution extremely well. It was not thrown in for glee but for purpose and made the story that much more enjoyable. So a huge thank you to the author for an outrageous amazing story I will never forget.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. From the character development in our protagonist Audrey Rose, to even the development and subtle hint at out villainous Jack the Ripper. There's such a tapestry of mystery, gore, and some tantalising romance to keep your blood pumping and you wanting more!
I suspected the person who ended up as the Ripper all along, but the book made me second guess my suspicions all the long. And I LOVE the little electrifying twist in the end there, which sealed our Ripper's motive for his heinous crimes.

Such a delectable, enGROSSING tale that leaves your heart pounding (or stolen)!

I LOVED this novel! The narration is wonderful! It took me a few chapters to get into the music, but I really loved it. It took the story to the next level, for me personally. Now I wonder why all books aren't scored like this!

This book is so well written. Kerri Maniscalco is truly a literally wunderkin and I will be furiously purchasing the rest of her catalog today. Word building: 10/10. Plot: 10/10. Narration: 10/10. This book has everything I love - historical fiction, romance, suspense, murder! I don't know what else you could want from a novel!

I'll be recommending this to everyone who will listen!

Such a fantastic story!

It's a shame, really. I like the overall idea, with its little seasoning of 'steampunk' and paranormal in a historical mystery; S. Holmes with a twist. However, it was very predictable (at least to me) and the romance is so superfluous that I would argue that if you omitted it almost nothing in the story would really change. Somehow being conceited and egotistical is being accepted as charming, which it's not, and there is zero growth in their relationship. Flat, bland, stagnate, one note, etc. Our lead's wardrobe has more development and significance than the romance. Idk if the series gets better, but I'm not sold on finding out. Once again, shame.

I've never eye-rolled at a book this much
