Very informative! The Christian man who lived out his faith; personally, militarily and so humbly.

This is a relatively short but concise narrative about the highlights of Stonewall. I found it to be interesting and fast moving. The narrator was sufficient not to take away from the reading and I listened at speeds varying from 1.25 - 1.5x. Much enjoyed.

Concise Summary of Stonewall

Jackson was truly an amazing person. A life filled with hardships, tragedy and triumph, he lived with a heartfelt love for his fellow man. Few people realize his devotion to the slave population in Lexington. Maybe this was because when he was a kid, a slave lady once told him about Christ and his love for him. Jackson never knew the love of a father and mother like many but he spent his life finding his place in the world. I appreciate Robertson's attempts to give us insight into Jackson's nature and the events of his life that helped shape this great general militarily, spiritually and personally. I would love to spend an afternoon discussing General Jackson with Mr. Robertson.

The narration was ok on a faster speed. However, at the given speed of 1x, the pauses between sentences by Mr. Garrett became too much. I do think Mr. Garret did an okay job and conveyed the intonations with great expertise.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking more knowledge of the many great men of the Confederacy and what motivated them.
