Standing in the Gap

I was at a gas station sharing verse cards and booklets with people. It was a windy day but the rain was holding off… A guy that looked homeless to me went into the station, bought a cup of coffee, and came back outside and stood next to me. His name was Tim. Turns out he was not homeless, and he was, in fact, quite wealthy. He loved Jesus. He spoke to me in very simple, spiritual terms. One thing he said to me was:

‘Before you were born, Jesus said what you would do, and who you would be!’

Two key things that Tim put down here in faith for me, for you:

1. Your God-Given Path: God has a path for you to walk. He’s gifted you (1 Corinthians 12:7)

2. Your God-Given Identity: God has ‘named’ you. Not only does God have things for you to do – and annointing and authority to do it – but he has given you a unique cut in his own image.
