In a riveting narrative teeming with suspense and relentless action, the story unfolds as Stanley Swanson, a werewolf, decides to grant an interview to a human journalist named Kain, precisely at the moment when war breaks out within the nocturnal realm of supernatural beings. Stanley, convinced that an imminent conflict will involve humans, seizes the opportunity to discern where their allegiance lies by divulging the closely guarded secrets of werewolves and vampires.

As Kain immerses himself in the enigmatic and perilous world of the supernatural, a profound friendship develops between him and Stanley. However, their clandestine agreement doesn't remain hidden for long, and the vampires interpret it as an outright act of aggression. The consequences are swift and brutal, with Stanley's family becoming the initial casualties. Fueled by a desire for vengeance, Stanley and his older brother embark on a quest for retribution against those who targeted their kin.

Simultaneously, the vampires, perceiving Kain's investigative report as a threat, set out to prevent its dissemination and to punish the human journalist for his interference. The fragile truce that had long maintained a semblance of peace between vampires and werewolves now lies shattered, replaced by a brewing war that casts a dark shadow over both mortal and immortal realms.

The intricate web of alliances and animosities intensifies, drawing mortals and immortals alike into a conflict that threatens to unravel the delicate balance between the supernatural factions. As the narrative unfolds, it explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the consequences of uncovering long-buried secrets. The once-stable world of creatures of the night now stands on the precipice of chaos, with the outcome hinging on the choices made by both humans and supernatural beings alike.

It's a good story. However I found several areas where there were repeats of the same sentence. if those spots are corrected it would be so much better

S. K. Ballinger wrote an excellent paranormal thriller. Johnny B. did an excellent job on the narration. The only complaint I have is it’s too short. It’s fun, unique, thrilling and complex. The world is on the brink of war between humanity and supernatural creatures. Stanley Swanson is the main character who hopes if war breaks out that humanity will ally with the werewolves.

I'm sorry I can't listen to any more of this book.
First the narrator is monotone and not pleasant at all. No inflections, I mean I could not tell who was speaking at all.
Second I counted 3 editing errors in the first 30 minutes which is all I got though before I turned it off.
Third and finally, the premise of this book is weird, not a mystery or thriller at all. More like a blog, not my cup of tea at all.

I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review.
