Shami has become one of my favorite authors, and this book did not disappoint. Brian W. does a great job as narrator.

Holy cow! This was so good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next installment! A thrilling read that I finished in 3 days.

Top-Notch Sci-Fi Fantasy

Clevon has all the attributes of a genetically modified human but operates on the shady side of the law in the edge of the galaxy. That is, until Captain Voight arrests him and presses him into her service. She has a goal that will be met via any means necessary, and Clevon will be her most useful tool. Plenty of action and political intrigue, betrayals and mayhem. This first book ends in a cliff-hanger of sorts, setting up book 2 for more of the same.

The main character tries to literally hump everyone.

This one felt gross. The main character relentlessly pursues men and women and not in a funny way. It comes off as gross and makes this hard to listen to.
