In a galaxy where the fabric of reality can be bent and shaped by a privileged few, and almost any skill desired is a mere injection away, one young man is thrust into the fight of his life.

Tane, a hydroponics farmer with some mad cereal crop gene-splicing skills, decides to get chipped. The operation gives him full control over his autonomic nervous and endocrine systems, plus the ability to install custom memories. All seems well until a couple of days later aliens come knocking at his door. And they aren't the friendly type.

Soon, Tane finds himself on a frenzied flight across the galaxy with a woman who can warp the very fabric of spacetime, her bodyguard - who'd just as soon kill Tane than protect him - and a starship that calls him snarky pet names. He's on the run not simply from the aliens but the whole damn human space navy. He only wished he knew why. Unfortunately for Tane, the answer might just destroy him. Not to mention the entire known universe.

Awesome story

Liked the story, characters and plot. Kept me reading all the way through till the end

Great Story But!!!

I really liked the story and could really get into it. The problem as always is PRONOUNCING WORDS WRONG. I'll say this again I understand the narrator maybe no speak American English as thier first language and may have an accent. My problem is then they mangle simple words for example the work WINDING like You are winding through the forest. It is pronounced WIND like you wind up a watch not Wind like the Wind was blowing. There's a few others and this was one of the worst books yet. I just really liked the Author and the story.

So good I need the next one

I blitzed this book. I looked for any opportunity to get away and listen to this more! Need the next one on Audible! What happens Tane?!

Fantastic

This book is fantastic! I am so looking forward to hearing how the saga continues. The story is epic and unique, and the narration is superb!

Intriguing

Very much Jedi like this is a great story, with good flow and a good mix of characters. Unlike many SciFi stories which include too many threads this one sticks to the core characters. Great fun.
