Good dialogue and characters.

Enjoyed world building. The idea of Athena in a modern world is fun. Owl is a hoot had to say it.

Fantastic Start To A New Series!

I was hoping to find a new series as I wait for favorites to put out new books, and I think this is it! This was a fun, well-told story, and the narrator was great! No icky or uncomfortable scenes, nor a ton of swearing, just a great story. And I love it when the MC has a good reason to solve the mystery, not just because they're nosy. This is what Astra DOES, or at least DID until her job was eliminated, and now the goddess Athena has tasked her with finding justice for the innocent, one job at a time, and has sent her own owl to aid her/supervise. Astra doesn't believe in Athena, but hey, a job is a job, and her mom, a priestess of Athena, will really make her life H-E-double hockey sticks if she doesn't do as Athena commands. This is a promising start, and I can't wait to dive into this series!

Star of Stage & Scream

A fun read & one that I honestly hope to continue with the next book in the series. I liked that it wasn’t the usual start of a lot of paranormal stories. The protagonist is caring @ heart but has had problems relating to her mother & vice versa. The characters are interesting & there’s lots of room for plot development with this story. I will definitely get book 2.
