What if the Legends Are True?

Jason Masters doubted the myths that told of people taken through a portal to another realm and enslaved by dragons. But when he receives a cryptic message from his missing brother, he must uncover the truth and find the portal before it’s too late. At the same time, Koren, a slave in the dragons’ realm, discovers she has a gift that could either save or help doom her people. As Jason and Koren work to rescue the enslaved humans, a mystic prophecy surrounding a black egg may make all their efforts futile.

What did you love best about Starlighter?

I love the way the author mixes classic myth with new twists. I enjoy the fresh approach to the Middle-Earth setting.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not extreme. There are humorous moments and some more serious - no tears though. lol

Any additional comments?

I am so excited that this series - and more by Bryan Davis is available on Audible. I have been waiting for this series since finishing all of the others.

I wasn't overly blown away with this one. The voice work was good, and the story was great. I just felt that the ending was a little anti-climactic. I won't go into detail on that, but since this is only the first book in a series, it has the potential to get better as it goes. I did enjoy this one, but I felt it fell flat compared to Bryan Davis's other works, such as the Dragons in Our Midst. Still. I recommend this one.

An good read, but falls flat
