Choosing his career over a relationship, Blake Russell left Serena Howard in Philadelphia to pursue opportunities in San Francisco. After being away for almost a year and a half, Blake is back in the city of Brotherly Love and still holding onto feelings for Serena. Even with the time that passed, he's never quite gotten over her or how their situation ended. Being back in his hometown, with memories of their time spent, Blake makes it his mission to check on Serena.

Serena's life went from zero to 100 real quick. Graduating from law school, opening her own practice, and other life-altering events left Serena with little to no time to be stuck in her head daydreaming about the past or wondering "what if". Her sole focus was on the things that were and the demands of her life.

With time, distance, and secrets between them, what will happen when Blake and Serena come face-to-face? What feelings will they invoke in one another? Love? Hate? Resentment? Will they be able to reignite their flame? So many things left unanswered. They both thought their paths were leading them in different directions, but there they were, back in one another lives, with so much energy swirling between them.

Glad they finally got it together

Good story, so glad they were able to work things out Now I just need the scoop on Kira and Haneef.

Too short

Overall part 2 was decent. While I don’t agree with Serena decision to not tell Blake about the pregnancy, I understand. I wish the author would have explored that more. Blake was selfish in his actions and didn’t take enough accountability as he should have regarding Serena’s decision.

Brown sugar

Loved both books the romance was awesome but the sex scenes was awesome too but I need to know what happened to the two best friends this can’t be the end of the romance for them❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Exciting / Irritating

Exciting nailbiting exhilarating I could go on for days I kinda got irritated by how Serena was so emotional and unreasonable and the same thing with her best friend. She was very unreasonable but the end justified the means very great story very good sequel I genuinely enjoyed it.

Happy Ending

I like a story where black ppl get a happily ever after. The passionate love was beautiful.
