Dr. Carl Houseman, celebrated minister and speaker, is determined to find out what really happened to his wife, declared dead five years ago after her sailboat washed ashore on a coastal island of Maine. Private investigator Terri Blake-Addison must piece together the life of this woman who felt she didn't know or understand the God that her husband so faithfully served. Did Ellen really die in those cold Atlantic waters? When a murder rocks the island, Terri knows more is at stake than just the puzzling life of an unhappy minister's wife.©2010 Linda Hall; (P)2010 Random House

I originally borrowed this audio book from a friend, and, after listening to it once, immediately started it from the beginning and listened to it all over again. When I joined Audible, this was one of the first several books I purchased and I have listened to it at least twice since then. The plot, the characters, the setting - I find them all compelling and interesting and even after knowing how the mystery ends, I still find myself enjoying this story. The narrator does an excellent job. My husband, who is often in the room with me as I'm listening to my books, isn't always drawn into the books I like, but he was definitely pulled into this one!

So Good I Read It Twice

Really like the audible version of this book much better than the actual read. Loved how the characters were realistic and not so far fetched. Admittedly this was a rather unusual storyline but the still the same really liked it very much. Kirsten Potter had a really good delivery on the narration.

Very good listen!
