First off, these are great recordings. Unfortunately, the chapters are still labeled (in the chapter list) as "Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc" instead of with the bird names. Highly impractical, and because of this it's waste of a credit/money. The full boxed set-- "Stokes Eastern and Western Birds"-- has the chapters labeled with bird names and accompanying PDF, both of which are greatly helpful. Since, at the moment, I'm only interested in western birds, I was hoping to cut through the tedious sorting through parts to get to what I wanted by buying this. As it stands, it's useless as a refreher/learning tool without proper chapter titles. I could go through and bookmark everything, but for $20 I shouldn't have to. I'm returning this if I can, but I'd be willing to buy again if the chapter titles are updated/fixed.

Audible is great but *seriously*, for a paid service, we can’t have chapter names? Have really wished for them before, but for a reference book with THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE chapters, it’s just crucial. Additionally, I couldn’t find a chapter list anywhere online, so …. I just made it through all 361 chapters of these birdsong samples, making my own handwritten list. Otherwise, no idea how a person could jump to a specific bird’s song. Yep, if I want to hear the song of an Allen’s Hummingbird, I now know to go to chapter 185, about 32 seconds in. 21 pages in a spiral notebook. Otherwise, recordings are clear and seem to be nice lengths, it’s a great option for hearing bird songs, and if you make your own list, a really useful reference.

CHAPTER NAMES are essential sometimes!

There are hundreds of recordings here, Andrew they each link to specific species. Without a title or indeed of which entry corresponds to which species, this is basically unusable.

No index or chapter title

I pretty much NEVER complain about anything and I don't think I have ever written a negative review. However, without the hardcopy book, this Audio book is completely useless. Rather than labeling the bird songs in the Table of Content, they are just labeled Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc.... And there are hundreds of "Chapters". You can't find anything.... at all. This book cost $25. Put at least a little effort into it to make it useful.

Useless
