Twenty years ago, Alexa Rodriguez’s sister disappeared without a trace. The trauma drove Alexa to become a private investigator. No matter how many cases she solves, there will always be a hole from the one that haunts her.

When Dean Campbell hires the HEARTS Agency, he has no idea what has happened to his sister. The police aren’t taking her disappearance seriously, but Dean knows Mandy - and he will do anything to bring her home safely.

As the line between investigator and client blur, the hunt for Mandy continues. But will their need for one another compromise their search?

I'm just going to start out by saying I LOVE, LOVE this series and the women of Hearts. This one is by far my favorite and I think Marci's writing is exceptionally good in this one. I felt like I was on a total emotional roller coaster this time around. Wowzers she even made me tear up a few times and these aren't "emotional" books or so I didn't think. There was just something about the story line in this one that completely pulled at my heart strings. I felt so bad for Dean and for Mandy and kept hoping that Alexia would find her in time and bring her home. Marci did a great job of mixing suspense in with romance and making the budding friendship turned romance between Alexia and Dean come so natural that you couldn't help but fall in love right along with them. I think this book is best enjoyed if you've read the previous two Hearts books but could certainly be read as a standalone, but some of the ongoing matters/issues that carry over from previous books will be kind of lost. Samantha really made Alexia and Dean come alive for me as well as all the other characters. She made me feel so much right along with them.

My Favorite So Far in This Series!!!
