Meet Maimun - an orphan who couldn’t imagine how unfortunate it would be to discover a stone that makes him forever lucky. Fleeing a powerful demon named Asbeel, Maimun stows away aboard the ship Sea Sprite, where he encounters a cast of characters well-known to Salvatore fans: Captain Deudermont, Drizzt Do’Urden, Wulfgar, Catti-brie, and the dwarf Bruenor. Drizzt becomes a mentor to Maimun and aboard Deudermont’s ship, they sail the treacherous seas of the Forgotten Realms. Hunted by a demon, haunted by a mysterious spellcaster, and chased by a pirate, Maimun, with Drizzt’s help, must unravel the secrets of the Stone of Tymora before his luck runs out!

This was my first Forgotten Realms book that wasn't Drizzt focused and I really enjoyed it. I hope there's more of Maimun in future books. The reader did a great job with the characters and emotional conveyance IMO. Great listen overall.

A very pleasant surprise

I can’t tell if I dislike the narrator or the writing more. I’m a huge fan of R.A. But this book seems to fall short. Really just wanted it to be over. If you’re thinking of getting this book because of Drizzt’s involvement, don’t. It’s minuscule.

Not sure about this one.

72 chapters into this book before Salvadore starts writing like normal. for whatever reason the 1st 1/4 of the book is repeated over... and over... and over... again. I found myself skipping 30 seconds forward just to avoid the constant recall to the start of the book. then it was more fun timing the skip button as not to miss any advancing story then listening to this story. after 71 chapters my patience was rewarded with a great book...
Was it worth all this. YES

Great story but overly explained

While this story ties in to some of the best from R.A. It is a stretch to have a twelve year old carry this journey.

The tie-in to other R.A. Salvatore works.
