Murders and hurricanes! A collection of loners gather on a barrier island to brace for a hurricane. An ordinary man finds himself leading this small group of eccentric residents. A page turner!

The most tedious book I've ever read

This book was tedious with long, drawn out dialogue both in the main character's head and in his interactions with others. I skipped 2 1/2 hours and listened to the ending.
