'This book is a joy to read, unlocking every bit of delicious promise in the premise' B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog

Meet Greta Helsing, doctor to the undead.

After inheriting a highly specialised, and highly peculiar, medical practice, Dr Helsing spends her days treating London's undead for a host of ills: vocal strain in banshees, arthritis in barrow-wights and entropy in mummies. Although barely making ends meet, this is just the quiet, supernatural-adjacent life Greta's dreamed of since childhood.

But when a sect of murderous monks emerges, killing human undead and alike, Greta must use all her unusual skills to keep her supernatural clients - and the rest of London - safe.

There are . . . few heroines as well-written and compelling as Greta Helsing'

The detail and maturity of the author is prestine. A lovely sci-fi fantasy drenched in folklore and gothic romance. Also impossible to pull yourself away from. The character development is so full and full. Loved this book!

Magical

The best part of the book is the great group of characters who spring from the page as they solve a string of serial murders in London.

Strangely enjoyable

It’s difficult to follow the story from time to time because it’s written from many characters stands and the narrator never changes her voice so you have to follow very closely to understand which character she is reading.
The story is good, so another narrator would make it much better to listen to.

Narrator just read the book

The narrators voice was nice, but overall she was pretty bad at giving individuals different voices, thus confusing me at times.
The story however was very nice and somewhat heartwarming. Cozy even.

Great story, so and so narration.

I like the premise, but I just cannot handle listening to this narrator. If this was released again with a different narrator, I'd give it another go.

Wrong narrator - returning
