When the pandemic started I returned to reading classics, and this book by F. Scott Fitzgerald was the first on my list. Upon reading I really wondered how to analyse and perceive it the right way. I wish I were more devoted to literature during school, when videogames and TV replaced it in my life. Now my attention span is even shorter due to the Internet. I'm afraid to lose the ability to concentrate on fiction, so being able to understand literature is ever important today.
The first chapters highlight the following topics: Historical Context, Genre, Themes, Structure, Form, and Characters.
Then the unabridged book begins, chapter by chapter, with a short summary after each retelling the most important events to make sure you got it right.
Not necessarily to pass an exam, but rather to be literary educated and use this knowledge to analyse other novels, to retain critical thinking, the Penguin Studying Classics series is here to help. It's worth to check out other books, such as Studying Wuthering Heights, Dracula, and Tess of the D’Urbervilles. I hope more classics will be added to this series in future.

A great way to study "The Great Gatsby"
