Strand's perpetually unlucky character Andrew Mayhem sets off on a simple mission at the request of his wife: Get some spaghetti sauce. On his way to the store he meets Konrath's obnoxious private eye Harry McGlade, co-star of the Lt. Jack Daniels thrillers.

Horrific violence, bad jokes, and lots of name calling soon ensues. Some sex, too, but not between the main characters.

I'm coming to this story as a J.A. Knorath fan. As always, Harry did not disappoint. I enjoyed Andrew Mayhem' s straight man contribution which, in my opinion made it that much funnier!

I would love to read these guys in action again!

Hilarious!

Not much of a horror story, it was awful, just awful. Definitely not for me.

Fun quick read.

Sophomoric to the extreme. Stupid tale with very little humor ... except potty type. Suckers is for suckers.

Written for 14-17 year old males !
