Buchannen painted, and justified, a less than optimistic prediction of america's future based on what has happened in other, similiar countries in the past.

Buchannens voice is too harsh to listen to for long periods of time. They should have a girl do the readings.

This was a terrific abridged version of Buchanan's original work that hits on almost every point that he writes about, with the exception of the anti-religious bent that he describes in the text. I've listened to it twice and both times felt extremely depressed about the future of America, which obviously was Buchanan's intention. Great narration by the author.

Brings up real demographic issues that the Republican party needs to address if they wish to stay relevant in the future. Also brings up very serious economic issues that have made themselves even more apparent in the wake of covid.
