Great Book 2

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great follow up to book one with a couple of unexpected twists. The only thing I wish I would have seen was a dark skinned woman on the cover…especially since this book focused on Olivia who is dark skinned and very self conscious and hyper focused on it. To not make the woman on the cover dark skinned, in my opinion, continues to feed into the stereotype that dark isn’t beautiful. It, to me, conveys that marketing didn’t think the book would sell as well.

Brilliantly Written

This is SUCH a good book. The secrets were jaw dropping. I may have enjoyed this one more than the first book. I’m a fan of a good book series

Great Story

Great story. Although a long book, this was a great and intriguing book. Great job!

The story lines of loss, belonging, and vulnerability resonated deeply with me.

I loved to see black folks in this light- complex, vulnerable, successful, loving and in the end- triumphant. Can’t wait to read the next book in this trilogy.

This one was a wild ride. But still love how the god sisters have each no matter what! And AMA is not to be played with lol.
