My name is Ian Memmer, and I've been keeping something from my best friend Summer Quinn for years. I'm in love with her. She breaks my heart over and over, day after day, but I love her. We grew up next door to one another. She's kind and beautifully broken, and she has no idea how I feel.

Because of her depression, and since she never showed any signs she felt the same, I've kept silent. Tormented. Wanting her. Becoming the playboy everyone views. I'm her rock. She needs me. I fear she's keeping secrets from me, too. Then a passionate moment between us changes everything and gives me hope.

Yet the guy she's been dating wants to take their relationship to the next level. If I don't make a move soon, I could lose her. But telling her the truth could rip us apart forever.

I received a free code to listen to this book and I did so willingly.

Summer's Road was a truly wonderful story. I could relate to so many things that happened in her life. Ian is the gentlest of souls and they made a lifelong fan out of me.

very well narrated by Julie Walters and Gene Branson

outstanding story line

I received this audio book free for an honest review. I really enjoyed this audio book. The story of Iam and Summer kept my attention until the end. I really enjoyed the background of the characters. The author was very thorough with the character development and the details in the story. I laughed and cried throughout. The author did an excellent job with the characters as well did the narrators. The dual narration worked very well with this story. Always love dual narration. Looking forward to more stories by this author and narrators.

Great Story and Great Narrators

This story is full of drama. I'm not saying that's a bad thing and for the most part I enjoyed listening to it. However, towards the end I found myself rolling my eyes and getting annoyed with Summer. Where my experiences with family wasn't quite like hers, it was enough for me to force myself to finish the book. I just had a hard time with Summer's decisions and indecision, I'm not as forgiving as she is, especially as an adult. Anyway, drama aside, this is a well written story with nicely developed characters. The narration was excellently done by Julie Walters and Gene Branson. They brought the story to life and really helped me to finish listening to the end. Not all duel narrations work well but these two really do. Nicely done! You'll definitely need to enjoy dramas to enjoy this one.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
