From the Bestselling Author of the hit Netflix series, Virgin River!

Sometimes the happiness we’re looking for has been there all along…

Adele and Justine have never been close. Born twenty years apart, Justine was already an adult when Addie was born. The sisters love each other but they don’t really know each other.

When Addie dropped out of university to care for their ailing parents, Justine, a successful lawyer, covered the expenses. It was the best arrangement at the time but now that their parents are gone, the future has changed dramatically for both women.

Addie had great plans for her life but has been worn down by the pressures of being a caregiver and doesn’t know how to live for herself. And Justine’s success has come at a price. Her marriage is falling apart despite her best efforts.

Neither woman knows how to start life over but both realize they can and must support each other the way only sisters can. Together they find the strength to accept their failures and overcome their challenges. Happiness is within reach, if only they have the courage to fight for it.

Set in the stunning coastal town of Half Moon Bay, California, Robyn Carr’s Sunrise on Half Moon Bay examines the joys of sisterhood and the importance of embracing change.

Good tutorial on woman in transition. How to get over crisis when all seems to be gone. The best was you find is seeking help and keep slowly moving ahead. Find new friends. Review your options no matter how small and work with what you have and grow from there. Great read!

Great Tutorial

Still not Virgin River caliber but worth reading. Very good story and great development of characters. Very true to life. No steamy sex scenes and I miss that so the romance was not a “sweep you away” but I did love Addie and Justine. Felt their pain that’s for sure. Wanted to shake Addie over her indesisiveness. But again, not Virgin River.

I don't understand all the reviews saying that readers who are fans of Robin Carr thought this book was a waste of a credit... Robin definitely followed the same formula she has followed work her other books so there is no big surprise, but it was an enjoyable story to listen to. I was frustrated that the younger sister still gets screwed out of the house and that that was basically just accepted and moved past, but oh well. If you like Robin's other books, I recommend this one. If you don't, stay away bc this is basically all the others 🤣

Reliable and enjoyable story

The story felt unfinished, like it just stopped and so much more could have been said. Loved the beginning and middle but ending was skipped. Hated that part.
