Very nice eastern cultivation take series

Loved the development and focus on introspection to develop external power while still getting cool external effects. Very fun.

I'm loving this!!!

Just realized this is the author of the Aster Fall series, which is another series I've been following.
I have to say tho, there's more action in this series ...that or the pacing has been faster so far, and I'm not complaining. This is a really good cultivation fantasy. I'm impressed, this author has more versatility than I gave him credit for.

Anyways, it's a good read. Highly recommend trying it out.

Even better than the first!

This book really does a lot more world building and exploring the MC's past and how he came to be. There were a few great moments throughout the story, and good to see a number of sub-plot completed. I really enjoyed how there were just enough side character focus chapters to see the ongoing effects of what is happening when the MC isn't around. This series appears to be one where the MC has a meteoric rise, and so moves on very quickly while trying to leave things better than when he arrived. After the first book, I was a little worried that it was going to be one of those series where everyone is jealous and massive backstabbers, but it turned out not so bad on that front.

This book was a good mix of action and contemplation, and I felt like the pacing worked really well to keep me listening to it. I will definitely be getting the 3rd book when it comes out.

An excellent book!

This series improves as it progresses. This was an excellent book and is decently better than the previous one. If this trend continues, this will quickly become one of my favorite series.

Solid second book

Solid entry into the series here, continues the story of Verse and his rise to power in the new world he finds himself. Zachary does a really good job of voicing Verse and I'm looking forward to what book 3 brings us. Good stuff!
