After witnessing an act of domestic terrorism while training on his bike, Jake is found near death, with a serious head injury and an inability to remember the plane crash or the aftermath that landed him in the hospital.

A terrorist leader’s teenage daughter, Betsy, is sent to kill Jake and eliminate him as a possible witness. When Jake’s mother blames his head injury for his tales of attempted murder, he has to rely on his girlfriend, Laurissa, to help him escape the killers and the law enforcement agents convinced Jake himself had a role in the crash.

Mike Mullin, author of the Ashfall series, delivers a gripping story with memorable characters and all-too-real scenarios.

I love a fast paced story and Surface Tension Didn’t disappoint. Realistic characters, current events and high stakes excitement. I loved it. The author did a good job of reading the story as well I highly recommend it.

Real and riveting.

I was a fan of Mike's writing for a while, I loved his Ashfall book, and was excited to hear another. sadly for me Jake from this book and Alex from Ashfall melded in my mind and they seemed one in the same. But that would be my major critique. The book was frustrating sometimes with Tapper's behavior and was quite rude, but again not a major complaint.

it feels like there might be a sequel and I'd definatly listen if it came out.

thanks Mike for another enjoyable book!

A cool airplane mystery.
