Life as a pastor’s wife has been a lot of fun, filled with new friendships and many learning opportunities. This life has also brought much heartache. I suppose we could say it is the best of times, it is the worst of times.

With each lesson learned, I have thought of my fellow pastor’s wives and wondered - Are they feeling alone and longing for a friend? Are they earlobe deep in ministry and wondering where their joy went? Are they enjoying this distinct calling? Do they know how very special they are to God?

Sweet Moments. A time to put their feet up and allow the author to minister to the listener. Let a new friendship begin!

I could listen to her all the time. Awesome narrator and the story is interesting.

Lovely, guiding words, useful for all wives!

This was a sweet book with words of support, advice and encouragement that would resonate with all wives, not just pastors’ wives. Not being a pastor’s wife myself, I was able to gain insight from a different perspective, one of which was told so eloquently by a partner whose role was (is!) also so very important. I admit, I hadn’t given much thought as to the sacrifices and challenges that a pastor’s partner must also make when their spouse is called to serve in this way. What an interesting learning experience! There is such a a tremendous and unique sacrifice made by these special companions. Even though our marriages are different, I found myself empathizing with the author many times.

This narrator, with her soothing voice, was absolutely perfect for this book. The calming way about her really added to the enjoyment of listening to the story. She made me feel like I was actually listening to the author herself; there was a sweet and pure innocence about her that came through so beautifully. I’d like to listen to more of her work.

A great read (listen!) all around! The recipes were a fun addition, too.
