absolutely loved them!

Once again Bella gives us a story that feels like coming home! I read this in one sitting and could not get enough of Jamie & Ashton! Ashton’s world is literally turned upside down after a call to come home and let’s just say nothing about her trip getting there was as planned. After that steamy night with Jamie, stuck in a hotel after a cancelled flight, Ashton just wants to forget it happened. But their attraction (and a little hate) has been simmering for years. Jamie is so patient, caring, and willing to do anything to show her how much he cares and wants her in his life.

I knew I loved this book when I read it, but listening to Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke perform this in duet was everything I needed. They were phenomenal as Ashton & Jamie and I couldn’t stop listening!

Sweet Narration

Another rewarding trip back to Kroydon Hills. It’s seriously like a pleasant family reunion with every new book and I absolutely love it. Yes, it is part of big beautiful world that I highly recommend reading but it also stands alone.

I usually talk about tropes to hype a book but they are sometimes spoilers. Go in blind and just trust that Bella Matthews delivers.

Jaime. Jaime. Jaime. I wasn’t sure I would love you but oh my goodness do I. My sweet ginger giant. This story was everything that I wanted and so much that I didn’t even know that I needed… banter, declarations, twists and HEA’s, oh my!

I loved this book so much I had to experience it again when it came out on audio and I think I like it even more now! The narration for this one was excellent! Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke were their usual amazing selves with this performance. Her ease of delivery and range of emotions and his growly dirty talk and soft spoken endearments made the story come alive. This combination of author and narrators is an easy 5 star recommendation!

Now I just have to wait a little over 2 weeks to get my eyes on Ryker!

Completely Captivating

Sweet Surrender completely stole my attention from page one and refused to give it back. Bella Matthews crafted a story that pulled me in so deeply I found myself slowing down on purpose, just to live in the moments a little longer.

Jamie and Ashton are layered, complicated, and tied together by a past neither of them handled well when they were younger. What looks like hostility on the surface is really unresolved pain, and watching those walls crumble was both emotional and beautiful. One snowstorm, a canceled flight, way too much alcohol, and a surprise pregnancy set the stage for a story that is equal parts heartfelt and addictive.

Jamie was everything. Protective, patient, and unexpectedly tender, especially when it came to babies. Meanwhile, Ashton’s sharp wit and guarded heart created the perfect balance of tension and chemistry. Their banter felt natural, their connection undeniable, and their growth together made the romance incredibly satisfying.

And as always, Bella shines when it comes to found family. The group chats brought humor at just the right moments and made the world of Kroydon Hills feel warm, chaotic, and full of love.

Bella Matthews delivered a romance that is emotional, funny, and impossible to forget. Sweet Surrender is the kind of book that lingers long after the final page, and honestly, I already want to experience it all over again.

Jason & Samantha did an AMAZING job channeling Jamie and Ashton. I love being able to read and listen to feel fully immersed and they definitely made me get lost in the story.

And maybe . . . just maybe, what if it means finally finding home?” One of my new favorite things is a re-read of a fantastic book in the audio format…it is so satisfying when the narrators exceptionally portray how I pictured the characters in my head. Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke did an amazing job of bringing Ashton and Jamie to life in duet narration. Their emotions, their tone, their pacing—everything that made Ashton and Jamie’s story roller coaster story still affect me in the best of ways and remain a top read from this author. The enemies-to-lovers trope, combined with the single guardian and accidental pregnancy (as well a bit of surprise suspense!), was woven into a captivating romance that also incorporated just the right amount of banter and steamy spice! Thanks to the authors then the early copy, thoughts are mine, honest and voluntary.

Book Boyfriend Elevated Thanks to Audio

Sweet Surrender is book three in the Love and Legacy series, taking us back to Kroydon Hills to follow Jameson Murphy and Ashton Carmichael through a story filled with grief, healing, found family, and “it’s always been you” love.

I listened to this on Audible, and the experience was top tier. The duet narration perfectly matched the tone of the story and brought these characters to life in such an immersive way. Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke absolutely nailed the personalities especially Jameson. Jason Clarke? Absolutely elevated my book boyfriend status for Jameson.

The emotional scenes hit even harder in audio. Conversations around grief and healing felt more impactful, and I found myself fully pulled into every moment. The banter was fun, playful, and natural, and the chemistry between the narrators made the romance feel incredibly real.

Standout moments like Ashton’s inner dialogue and secret thoughts were especially powerful in audio, adding depth and intimacy to her character.

Overall, I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I finished with that warm, satisfied feeling you want from a romance.

If you’re choosing a format, I highly recommend the Audible version this one is truly top notch.
