For Katie McKenna, passing out and landing in the arms of Washington DC Soaring Eagles baseball player AJ Williamson is one of those moments she'd rather forget. Embarrassed beyond belief, she tries to pretend the incident never happened. She puts the escapade behind her, choosing to spend the summer preparing for law school and admiring AJ safely from afar.

AJ, however, can't forget the brunette with the green eyes who he caught that night on the concourse. She was funny. Quick. Not afraid to be herself. Intrigued, AJ wants to know more.

When Katie and AJ meet a second time, she finds herself no longer seeing him as AJ, the baseball player, but as Andrew Joseph, the man she is falling for. As her feelings grow, so do her doubts. AJ is known for wanderlust, and his contract is up this year - will he even be in DC next season?

Katie has her own worries. Law school is going to consume her and is notoriously hard on relationships. The last thing she wants is for AJ to be a casualty of that.

Can these two people find a way to realize they are worth the risk for the other to take? Or will their chance at love result in a swing and a miss?

good writing, nice depth of character for the hero and heroine.
the dramas are interesting and sometimes silly, but well written.
really sweet romance , fairly clean book, I am not sure that sexily is actually a word or a verb though.
Only real complaint is the theme of the series of the heroines, is heavy millenial angst..
Otherwise a nicely woven story, And i like the narrator .

fun drama, good story

“The man I love” …this phrase was repeated so many times I started skipping. The narrator even repeated the phrase with the same intonation each time she said it, “The man…I loove”. With the pause and the word “love” drawn out. It got beyond frustrating. Even themes of the chapters were repeated. It honestly was too much. There’s at least 8-10 chapters that could’ve been deleted without missing anything in the storyline.

Another reviewer mention how similar this book is the first in the series: “Squeeze Play”. And they are correct.

While the story is sweet, it is VERY similar to book 1. This is the reason I dropped a star down to three. This book could’ve easily been a five star book if it wasn’t so similar to book 1 (Squeeze Play) and if there wasn’t so much repetition.

It was okay. I won't be finishing the series. I felt myself being bored with the story line.

Similar story line as the first one

Probably better listed under fairy tales. Slow start then moves faster only to have sections where it slows down again..

Not a realistic story
