Regina Watts, scarred and disillusioned ex-CIA operative, knows exactly what the Gap can do. Years ago, she led a black ops team into the jungle on a mission so classified it was buried along with her dead. She was the only one who made it out—and even then, not whole. Haunted and half-forgotten, Watts is drawn back by a private bounty offered by Zach’s father, Richard Cooper.

But she doesn’t go in alone.

Joining her are James Cooper, the eldest son and pragmatic lawyer, and Mark, the neurotic middle brother with a medical kit and a history of panic attacks. Together, they follow the trail left behind by Zach’s expedition—into cartel territory, forbidden ruins, and depths none of them can imagine.

As the jungle closes in, their mission becomes a race against time and myth.
