There is a serial killer terrorizing the largely rural twin tiers region of Pennsylvania and upstate New York. He enjoys conversation and torture, and leaves behind a calling card. Each of his victims are marked with the letters CR. He is always one step ahead of the police as he kills those who have names from characters in Stephen King novels. When the FBI gets involved, he now has to outsmart the elite team of agents hand picked for the task force trying to track him down. The question is, can they stop him before he makes another brutal and gruesome murder?

Did not care for the AI reader

AI reader lacked many things to make this mystery novel a lot better. Such as inflection, change in cadence, among other things. I can read books! Hire me!!!

Great Story!

Great Story! No HATE the killer and his arrogant, self righteous, narcissist ways but then that’s what makes a good writer and a good character when you forget they’re not real and hate or love them as though they are real. The AI narrative was the only negative thing I can say. I miss a person and the feeling, compassion and mood of their reading. The AI is just not the same, I don’t care for them at all. Keep the AI where it belongs in the computer. But the story and novel is great! A very good read/listen!!

Good book. Good story. Like the whole thing. But the virtual reader is not great.

The story left me completely unsatisfied,

At times, the story was extremely interesting, but ultimately it was not worth being related to Stephen King in any way, shape or form, and on top of that the AI Reading of the text was completely unsatisfying. No inflection no  emotion completely generic

Great Story

the plot was intriguing, love the Stephen King motivation. The VR reading had some hiccups
