When addiction steals a child, a mother’s world doesn’t just shatter — it collapses from the inside out.

In this unfiltered true memoir, Cindy shares the day addiction changed her life forever — and the unraveling that followed. Consumed by grief, she didn’t cling to faith. She abandoned it. The prayers stopped. The hope dried up. The God she once trusted felt distant, even cruel.

Grief drove her into a dark and reckless season. She made choices she never imagined she would make. She searched for comfort in the wrong places, met with strangers, and numbed the ache any way she could. At her lowest, she questioned whether life was worth continuing.

This is not a story of steady belief.

It is the story of a woman who hit bottom — spiritually, emotionally, and morally — and survived her own collapse.

But rock bottom was not the end.

In the silence and the shame, something unexpected began to rise. Not instant redemption. Not easy healing. But a slow, painful rebuilding. Cindy’s faith did not return as it once was — it was stripped down, tested, and forged stronger through fire.

For grieving parents, families shattered by addiction, and anyone who has wandered far from hope after tragedy, TOO YOUNG TOO SOON offers rare honesty about the darkness — and the powerful truth that even after we lose our way, restoration is possible.

Really wonderful book. Well told including character development that could be used in our own lives. Forgiveness is for you, not always the other person. God’s Grace is amazing. We just need to believe

Don’t give up - God is always near enough to help

She misses lots of red flags regarding relationship commitments, rationalizing abuse to her and her children. Yet her heart shows as she finds her way, despite personal tragedies.

Frustrating, Heartfelt

I read this book in one day, I couldn't put it down. Cindy’s motherly love, was so very detailed in every single page, I literally felt I was in the story myself watching this terrible tragedy unfold. Despite the horrific outcome of losing her children, I was unaware of what unbearable pain, guilt, and feelings of abandonment that would play in this mothers heart. Yet in the depths of darkness, there was hope which led to a newfound faith and redemption. This book was meant to heal others but also free them from the binds that hold them. Cindy was right- she did do it, and for that we are all grateful! Thank you for sharing your truth!
